  • Basic Oral Health
  • Head and Neck Anatomy
  • Tooth Anatomy and Supporting Structures
  • Infection Control and Sterilization
  • Management of Hazardous Materials/OSHA
  • Hands on practice setting up and breaking down dental opertories, sterilization of instruments and handpieces begins on the very first day!
  • Introduction to Dental Charting
  • Dental Radiography (xrays)
  • Georgia DHR Radiology Certification
  • Hands on practice taking digital intraoral and panoramic radiographs
  • Chairside Assisting Skills – 4 handed dentistry
  • Dental Instruments and Tray Systems
  • Topical and Local Anesthetic
  • Dental Cements and other Restorative Materials
  • Hands on practice passing instruments with multiple doctors, each student will actually perform composite filling procedure several times with at least two doctors
  • Dental Specialty Instruments and Procedures – Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Pedodontics and Prosthodontics
  • Dental Laboratory Procedures, Alginate Impressions, Bleaching trays. Each student will take impressions and pour models several times, and will make a set of bleaching trays for themselves.
  • Crown prep procedures, extraoral fabrication of temporary crowns.
  • Removable prosthodontics (denture and partial) procedures.
  • Pit and Fissure sealant procedures.
  • Job Seeking and Resume skills.
  • Introduction to EagleSoft software.
